New Post for Troy!

Started by PurpleCar · 6 months ago

My last post turned into a forum for some silliness on Twitter.  Troy, a soldier currently serving in Iraq, posted a comment that OF COURSE the guys and gals over there LOVE mail!!!
I started this post so you can comment back to Troy and any buddies he has around him.  Positive ... Continue reading »

  • Troy -- and everybody in your unit. Thanks SO much for standing tall for our country. You're doing things others would never dream of doing. My family and I absolutely appreciate everything you've sacrificed. Get home quick and safe!
  • Troy, I hope you and everyone in your unit make it back home safe.
  • Guys, I pray you get all safe & well back to your homes.
  • Hi Troy and buddies,

I think about you guys all the time. I can only imagine it must be very stressful ...so far away from home and in a dangerous and unpredictable environment. I hope you have outlets and activities that provide at least a bit of enjoyment and relaxation occasionally.

Some friends of mine sent over golf balls for a driving range at one of the bases... do you guys have a driving range where you are, and if so are you in need of balls or tees because the group continues to collect them and I could try to see if we could get them to you.

I'm going to join eMOM so I can write to some people over there. In the meantime you guys please take care and keep well and stay safe.

    Best Regards,
    Patricia

  • Hi Troy,

What an honor to have the opportunity to write to you. Please know that all of us over here in the U.S.- (or at least all of us new media folk) are so proud of all of you, are so grateful to all of you, and want nothing more than for your safe and healthy return to your families, regardless or our personal political persuasions.

Stay safe and strong and know that millions of prayers are with you, literally every minute of every day.

    All my very best,
    Kathryn Jones
  • Thank you Troy for all that you and your fellow troops do. My fiance and I are very grateful and appreciative! You are all truly heros.

"If you can't stand behind our troops you should stand in front of them."
  • I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I thank you all for your prayers, concerns, gratitude and love. I really do appreciate it. For all the "thank yous" i got, your very welcome, its my pleasure. as far as golfing goes... i saw a guy the other day hitting balls off a bunker. i dont much play golf so i didnt really pay attention to him. all this gratitude towards me and my unit and everyone else over here does not go un appreciated. i thank you all. and i thank Christine for putting this thread up.
  • I'm really proud of everyone serving their country. No matter what your stand on any world situation, no one can doubt the integrity and commitment of people who put their lives on the line to serve their country. Thank you all so very much.
  • Troy, may I say "thank you" again? ;-) "Thank you" to you and every person who serves our country. Since my Dad was a paratrooper in the Army, there's hardly a day I don't think about you all, say a prayer for you, and hope you stay safe and come home soon as possible.

Your quote, "I have seen the worst that humanity has to offer but I offer the best humanity has to give," says it so beautifully. Wow.

I'm inspired to sign up with eMOM, just to say those things as many times as possible!

    ~Christine (a different one) ;-)
  • Troy, thank you so much for your service. It's because of faithful and courageous people like you that I can enjoy the freedoms of this country.

Stay safe, and know that you are loved.

    Blessings,
    ~~Erin~~
